By the way, Lulupu already has some amazing new designers on the team and I hope you will keep visiting there 😀
So now moving on to new opportunities and new work 🙂
I discovered this amazing crafts store called Craftslane and when they asked me to showcase some of their products here on my blog, I couldn’t say no 🙂
So I picked up the MDF Hexagonal Box in medium size from their store and got crafty.
I started by painting the box with a bamboo acrylic paint using one of the many flat brushes available in the Craftslane store.
And then I gave it a coat of glitter mod podge, haven’t tried this stuff before but I have to say it’s awesome. It leaves this sweet little glitter all over and is so easy to apply with the Craftslane foam brush.
The glitter is hard to see in the picture but it sure is very pretty 🙂
Next I picked this beautiful Kaisercraft paper from the English Rose Collection called Florence.
I cut the pieces to required size and glued them down using Mod Podge.
Next I added some punched border on the side and some tulle and felt flowers on top to finish it off.
Here is the end result and I think it looks pretty 🙂
The flower centers are actually beautiful MDF snowflakes. I topped the flowers off with Kaiser Craft pearls.
The silver outline on the top and the little pearls on the sides have been done using liquid pearls.
I am entering my beautiful box for the Gift Packaging Challenge in the Moxie Fab World.
ETA – that I made a matching tag for this box 🙂
I used this awesome Duo Die from Paper Smooches to cut out the window for the base of my tag. Then I painted my strip of card stock with bamboo acrylic paint to match the box and once it was dry I stamped the sentiment in black on it. And of course I had to add the magic of liquid pearls to the whole thing 🙂
